Music Monday: Kate Nash – Pumpkin Soup

Kate Nash

The music video for Pumpkin Soup (which is my favourite Kate Nash song) was directed by Kinga Burza, who has directed music videos for just about everyone on the indie music scene and the more recently for Katy Perry. The adorable boy in the video is Kate’s real life friend photographer Wesley Goode. This song spent 10 weeks on the UK single chart.

There is no reason why this song is called Pumpkin Soup, that was the just the working title under which Kate saved the lyrics in progress on her computer, and nobody ever changed it.

From the album: Made of Bricks

Released: 17 December 2007

Down at heels, music obsessed girl who works in admin. Frequently found talking nonsense on audio blogs, writing nonsense on written blogs or when the internet is down, talking to herself. Life lurches from one disaster to another, but at least it's amusing. I like cats and rats. My fear is they will one day form an allegiance and take over the world. You saw it here first.
