Flex Friday 💪🏼 Your finally here! 🙌🙏🏻 . . It may seem a bit strange and counter-positive but I’ve actively been trying to say “no” more often. No to the situations that don’t serve me that is. I’ve always been the type to say yes to everything and anything because I want to please , but you know what sometimes it’s perfectly fine to say no. Sometimes you just don’t want to do something, or you may have the time but want to focus on other things? Like self love, self care – and that’s ok. It doesn’t make you a bad person, no one at the end of the day is going to look after you, but you. So take that time that you need. Yes help others when you can, give a little and you will get a little back. But make sure when your saying yes to someone else, you are not saying no to yourself. 💜 * *

How many of you have a goal weight you think you need to be? : : Coming down from 200lbs, before weight training, when cardio was life I always thought I needed to be 135 lbs, it didn’t matter what I did or how I looked, if I wasn’t 135lbs or getting there I wasn’t happy. That all changed when I started building muscle. The scale would always freak me out, like “why the f*ck isn’t it moving down?!!!” But I was looking better losing inches off my waist hips and thighs. I was so focused on that stupid number that it hindered me for so long, My growing and progression process slowed down so much because I kept myself in a deficit (eating less calories than burned through the day) all the time. : : Now I can’t move from the 140’s, bye bye 130 something I don’t think I’ll ever see you again and you know what I DONT WANT TO! I’ve arrived in #gainsville and I’m not going back! My name is KMC & I’m an addict/alcoholic. I’ll be five years sober on May 28th. I was able to finally beat cocaine & whiskey (after MANY failed attempts & relapses) through lifting. Which made me fall in love with being strong, as it’s the only thing that has ever been able to hold power over my addiction demons. So I worked my ass off & saved up enough money to open a gym. And now I pay it forward to other addicts like myself, through a program I created called @Reps4Recovery. My team & I help them create physical & mental strength in order to help them create a new (and much deserved) life. If someone comes to me identifying as a substance abuser, and they WANT to be clean & sober, I give them them all the tools I created for myself on May 28, 2013. Through @reps4recovery, they get access to my gym, my equipment, my coaches, my programming, my community, my nutrition program, & my family. They are in a safe place with minimal risk for relapse every day. This is possible because YOU guys have been making the donations & buying these @reps4recovery shirts. Thank you. This shit works. I watch it work every single day, so please keep helping me make it work. Because I can’t do it myself. Which is really fucking hard for me to say. Thanks for reading, donating, sharing, and commenting. I love every single one of you. 📸 by the amazing @chrismstanton of course ❤️
