It feels like I’ve been living under a rock and despite knowing that Children in Need is on in November, this year has been the first in a long time when I’ve had to look up when! I don’t watch a lot on the BBC any more and this isn’t because of the recent speculation around the channel service. I probably only watch Strictly Come Dancing and I missed Saturday night’s episode so have missed any teaser trailers for it.
Anyway I digress…
Children in Need is one of the charities I feel strongly about. I always find myself watching the evening’s entertainment and singing along with all the music acts and then crying uncontrollably when they show their videos about the work that the money provides. I’m filling up just thinking about it.
There are various auctions and of course The Rickshaw Challenge which is already underway.
I have to confess I like the Designer Pudseys.
You can visit them at Selfridges.
Many female celebrities have posed without make up for the first “BearFaced Day” for Children in Need which took place last week. Lulu, Caroline Flack and Louise Redknapp are amongst those who posed in the photo campaign.

There are lots of ways to fundraise; cake stalls, fancy dress and you can also download spots banners here There is also a BBC iPudsey app where you take a photo of a face (can be you or even a teddy or whatever you want) and then add a voice to it and make your own video. You can download celebrity voices (at a cost) or just use your own and then you can share out your videos across Twitter and Facebook.

Children in Need is on Friday 16th of November and will feature Girls Aloud and their official charity single. Also The Script, One Direction, Little Mix amongst others will be performing. There will be a special Olympics and Paralympics performance with them making their own dance video, including ‘gangnam style’. Also the newsreaders, Strictly Come Dancing and Doctor Who. I’m excited already!
