Is it Love? No really…is it?

Hello everyone!

Today I want to talk with you about that little thing called love. Many people are very lucky and are already in loving relationships with people they truly care for and some are still searching and are yet to find the love of their lives. But guys, don’t feel jealous or bitter towards the ones that have found it, your time will come. Paint on a smile for them, be happy for your friends. They are living proof that love can happen and eventually it will for you too. There is someone out there for everyone!

Now instead of me blabbing on to you about what love is, I have devised a list of what love is NOT. It will help you see things a whole lot clearer. I’m no love and relationship expert but I’ve seen a lot of relationships break down and fall apart in my time. At least that’s what those people thought they were! If there’s no trust, communication, respect and honesty then that’s not a relationship!

1)Love is not snooping through your partner’s phone and Facebook account while they’re taking a shower.

2)Love is not taking yourselves to The Jeremy Kyle Show to get a lie detector test.

3)Love is not getting the stripper’s phone number from your mates pre-wedding bash.

4)Love is not updating your Facebook status ten times a day moaning about your partner and ‘liking’ fan pages about the person you want your partner to be.

5) Love is not freaking out rocking back and forth in the dark when your partner is on a girls/guys night out.

6)Love is not bottling up your thoughts and feelings when something is not right between the two of you.

7)Love is not creeping behind your partner’s back and sending saucy messages to their best mate.

8 )Love is not having a drunken argument outside a club because you saw your partner chatting to an old school mate of the opposite sex.

9)Love is not feeling unable to turn to your partner when you’re in really deep doo-doo and desperately need help.

10)Love is not allowing yourself to be used like a disposable glove.

11)Love is not being unable to respect your partner’s opinions and differences.

12)Love is not physically abusing your partner and constantly calling them awful names.

13)Love is not demanding to know where your partner has been and who they’ve been with by texting and phoning every hour of the day.

14)Love is not putting your partner down and arguing in front of their family and friends.

15)Love is not sharing a cheap bottle of plonk on a park bench with some randomer that also got chucked out the pub.

16)Love is not meeting up secret kisses and what-not behind your ‘partner’s’ spouse’s back.

17)Love is not getting a tattoo of your partner’s name in which you’ve been in a ‘relationship’ with for about 3 weeks.

18)Love is not moaning about your partner to a bunch of your mates telling them how rubbish they are at…well…you know!

19)Love is not staying with someone you truly can’t stand simply because you’re used to them being around.

20)Love is not experiencing all the things above and being so desperate for it you just settle for it and call it…love!

This list is based on actual events that I’ve witnessed over the years. Sadly these people still think that this is real love and I hope that one day they will be able to find it. No matter how much you tell them it’s wrong, they won’t listen and learn the hard way. If any of these points appeal to you or a friend then sort it out, it’s just not right is it?! There’s no way this will become the relationship of your dreams, remember the key points I mentioned earlier? I’m not saying everybody’s relationship is perfect, everyone has little problems from time to time. Sometimes things can get too complicated and can’t be worked out unfortunately but those people remain civil to one another and are able move on. If it’s real love you’ll be able to deal with them, stick together and look forward to the rest of your lives.

You can’t force love…it just happens.

Bye for now,

Jen
