It’s hard for charities in a recession, in fact it is hard for all of us and yet we still love to give. But by giving, it is a sacrifice, so we do become more choosy who/what we support. Here are four fundraising ideas that I’m looking forward to supporting this year. Feel free to click and support, or do something similar yourself to raise money for your selected charity 😀
Turn your unwanted jewellery into a precious gift.

The Alzheimer’s society wants your jewellery, whether its gold, silver or costume jewellery, they can recycle it to raise much-needed funds to support people with dementia, their families and their carers. It doesn’t have to be perfect; broken, half missing or something you no longer would wear, the Alzheimer’s Society will do the recycling for you. The Old Jewellery Appeal has already raised over £750,000 to improve the lives of those affected by Dementia. As always every single donation makes a difference 😀

Subscribe to a charity magazine
Candis.co.uk is a charity magazine that raises money for health related charities. Over £54million since 1962. They have a monthly magazine full of articles, as well as where their money raised has gone to, per month. I’ve subscribed to this magazine for a few years now. Feels good to help in such a way 🙂
So, four very different ways to support charities. If anybody else is raising money in a fun and novel way, we’d love to hear from you in the comments section below.
