There is, sadly, very little to say about this video. However, I think it is absolutely perfect. Lyrics aside, this song is very simple and gentle, and the video suits it perfectly. Add in the lyrics “I am yours now, so now I don’t ever have to leave”, and you’ve got some truly exceptional.
The XX have a very distinct style- I wouldn’t go as far as to say all their song sound the same but they certainly know what works for them. I really enjoy their music and “Islands” is my favourite song of theirs.
