It’s not the time of year for a gazebo maybe but for those of you who have family birthdays or events next year, it’s worth doing your preparations now. We’ve put together a guide for why having a gazebo in your garden can really bring in the ‘wow-factor’ to your party.
I hosted a party this summer using a gazebo and here’s some tips that I found useful;
Bring the party outside
Let’s face it we don’t always want to host parties indoors and it can be much better to have extra space. A gazebo obviously gives you this extra space and means you have more of a ‘party area’ than using various rooms in your home. It can be easier just to have the party in one area and obviously make sure everyone knows where the bathroom is – some creative signage is great for that. You might also decide that you want to use the gazebo for different aspects of your party, maybe a games room or somewhere for the kids to be. They offer countless opportunities for you and your party.
Decorate a blank canvas
We all have hosted parties at home and had to move furniture and trinkets because you’re worried about damage or certain things don’t fit into theme of your event. A gazebo works as a blank canvas and you’re then free to decorate as you wish. It’s great as you can decorate the space leading up to the event without everything getting in the way inside your home. It’s much easier to plan a space when it’s empty. Also, I decorated the outside of the gazebo with some fairy lights and I also used solar lights on the entrance too. This looks inviting and it also guides your guests to where they should go.
Picking your theme
Everyone loves a theme for a party and using Garden Camping Gazebo’s like we mentioned above really does give you a wealth of opportunities. I think the major factor with the theme will be how you utilise the new space you have. I love the idea of entering the gazebo and being given a cocktail or a glass of prosecco, to really make everything feel relaxed. Black and white balls are still very popular themes and there is something so classic about doing it that way.
How much space?
Not only do you need to consider the space for your actual gazebo but you also need to think about the space that is left around it. You need to have enough room for your guests to be able to get in and out without it being too crammed in. Make sure that you get your garden space measured accurately and do also check that it is level ground. You don’t want guests tripping up as they walk around the area.
Creative Invitations
I loved putting on the invites the location of the party – the garden. It adds a bit of surprise for your guests but also gives them a warning that if the party goes into the evening that they might want to bring along a shawl or light jacket. I did also buy some blankets just in case it did get too cold.
