The Wild Robot (2024) is a heartwarming animated film that follows the journey of Roz, a robot shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. The Wild Robot made me cry! From a film that from the trailer immediately made me want to see it to actually seeing it was goosebumps territory. The story is beautiful and more than just your normal animated movie, it’s a film about community and love. It’s then put into BEAUTIFUL animation that every scene will make you gasp at just how wonderful it is. There are some scenes that you cannot believe are not real.
the cast is perfect and the realisation of how much I could recognise these soothing voices made the characters feel even more like home. The year isn’t over but The Wild Robot is my film of 2024. Glorious!
