Imagine being so rich you could drop everything at a finger click and decide to go skiing tomorrow. That’s exactly what the bois were able to do in Episode 2 of Made In Chelsea. They’re clearly so rich they don’t need to work like the rest of us! This is the kind of behaviour I’ve come to expect from the Chelsea clan over the last 5 series, so I wasn’t that fazed by it (just extremely envious!).
The skiing trip was made more interesting by the inevitable rift between Lucy and someone. She has had a rift with everyone in Chelsea and all surrounding Boroughs and she’s been in the show, what, a series? In typical Lucy style, her conflict is with a girl because of inconspicuous messages found on the girl’s former boyfriend’s phone from ‘Sexy Lucy’. I no longer hate Lucy for her ‘player’ lifestyle though, it’s just to be expected now, and rather funny! It was a shock to see Lucy reveal some emotion during her confrontation with Olivia over said text messages, is the ice-woman starting to thaw? It seems she isn’t a robot after all.
It seems the ski trip might be the beginnings of a new rift for Lucy and Phoebe, as Lucy didn’t look best pleased to discover Jamie had been in the hot tub alone with Phoebe the night before she arrived,or when Jamie kissed Phoebe during a game of ‘flirty fondue’! I’m pretty sure she hated Jamie last season, but I guess there is a thin line between love and hate. But, as with all incidents in Chelsea, there has to be even more complications. Turns out, Jamie has a girlfriend! What a rogue! The self-confessed commitment phobe doesn’t want to put all his eggs in one baskets though. Thankfully, Francis was there to offer sound advice: Jamie, grow a pair.
Elsewhere in Chelsea, it seems that the trio of BFFs – Ollie, Cheska, and Binky – have a Lucy shaped wedge between them. Despite not particularly liking Lucy, I think Cheska’s reaction to seeing Binky and Lucy hanging out has firmly placed me on Team Binky, just because Cheska is so blinkin’ whiney! Surely it is partly their fault for not including Binky in their mate-date, and instead adopting Ashley into their close knit group. Cheska said she misses Binky “massively” but she didn’t make much of an effort to converse when Binky was sat with them. Consequently, I have “massively” lost respect for Cheska (not that I had much to start with). Thankfully, Binky did make the effort towards the end of the episode, though Cheska still seemed reluctant to put the effort in to talk to Binky, instead making little digs at Binky about her absence from the trio. Cheska really does have a rare talent for making awkward situations a million times worse, doesn’t she?
In contrast, I have actually gained respect for Lucy, despite me still not liking her very much. She was honest with Louise in last week’s episode and has pushed her to ‘man up’ and dump Spencer. The opening of this episode highlighted that she is unable to ‘man up’ however, begging her “wubby” to reply to her texts. How pathetic.
They’re a pretty pathetic couple to be honest. Spencer is ignoring Louise despite him being the one in the wrong, and also falling out with Proudlock and Jamie because of Francis (who absolutely did the right thing last season!), and also criticising Millie and Rosie for making Louise cry. Let’s be honest, it doesn’t take much for her to cry, and Spencer makes her cry all the time anyway!
The preview of next week’s show also showcases Spencer’s arrogance in his relationship, or maybe that should be ex-relationship going by his and Louise’s bankside conversation in the clip!
