I absolutely love picking up a new magazine to read, much like reading a book it really brings soothing to my soul! Or something like that. Anyway, I really enjoy it. But as much as I do love reading magazines, the cost of my favourite ones has got up to almost £5 on each one now and it’s getting a little pricey to buy a drink and a magazine when I travel.
So, I tried out Readly and I’m converted. I do miss the feel of an actual magazine and I hate that I don’t get the beauty samples now but I am now reading my magazines digitally. There are over 1800 magazines available, which I can admit is impressive but I won’t get anywhere near reading THAT many. But there’s so much choice. A subscription gives you unlimited access to the magazines, available on up to 5 devices. So you can share your subscription with family if you want to – for extra charge! You can each have your own username so that you save your favourite magazines.
Its £7.99 a month which is about the same price as two magazines a month for me. You can also read backdated issues too so I’m currently going back through OK and Hello magazines! It takes barely minutes to download your magazines (depending on connection) and of course downloading them means you can read them offline. Which is great for travelling and also I like to keep the app on my phone (mainly use it on my iPad) but it’s nice to read a couple of pages when I can sneak them in!
