I love watching new and ‘well-loved and hear to stay in my regular routine’ TV series and I thought I’d share some of what I’ve been getting into recently.
The Stranger (Netflix)
Everyone was talking about this and I dived right in and watched a couple one evening and then watched the rest the next day! I was absolutely hooked and I suspected everyone in the end… except the one! How typical. Great TV and I have started Safe which is another based on a book by Harlan Cohen series but I’m not quite feeling it.
COBRA (Sky Boxsets)
Must admit that I totally bought into this from the trailer and seeing Robert Carlyle was in it. The first couple of episodes I felt there was too much going on with it and I almost gave up BUT halfway through it all got easier to follow. I liked that they had brought in the Prime Minister’s family life and that was perhaps the most touching part of this series. Coming back for a second series too.
The Split (BBC iPlayer)
Seasons 1 and 2 are both available on the iPlayer and if you missed this divorce/court based drama then do get it watched. The cast is superb and the storyline will have you hooked. The BBC have not confirmed if there will be a third series yet but surely there must be!

Recommended to me by overseas friends I used my VPN to be able to watch this, as it is not available over here yet. It’s extremely watchable with good background stories that haven’t been fully told yet so the series is really able to build.
Love Is Blind (Netflix)
This series has been talked about a LOT. Couples talking to each other in booths and only hearing their voice, choosing a partner to marry before they’ve even met! The idea of it sounds crazy, I mean it really is but the format was addictive. I found a lot of the set-up was maddening though – the fact they didn’t see to be able to not turn up at the wedding day and call it off before doing the “I don’t”. Eeeek! Que drama! I reckon this will get another series though and I’ll probably still watch it.
