I should admit that I have delved a few times into the reality TV show mire. Sometimes I have absolutely hated it and others I have sat watching the daily shows and shouted at anyone who dared to interrupt me. I would never enter myself though, no.
This book had intrigued me because it seemed to have enough plot to grab that reality TV addiction but also there was the real life side too. Robin has a lot to deal with in the book and you can see by the end how much she has grown personally from her experiences. I really enjoyed the way that the author had you moving from the jury duty and then back to the episodes being aired. It kept the book really moving at some pace and it is quite a quick and easy read anyway, so this helped more.
It’s not often that you get a book that mixes jury duty and reality TV but also manages to do it so well.
Absolutely loved it. Recommended when you need to get away from your own day to day and enjoy someone else’s life. 4/5
