I love watching all different types of television programs ranging from soaps to dramas. I love nothing more than coming home from work and relaxing by watching tv, so I decided to pick my favourite five. So, below are my top five and my reasons why:
Coronation street
I am a northern girl and I love watching Coronation Street. I love all the drama and I try to watch every episode. I like to follow the day-to-day activities and personal relationships of these characters and how they deal with current affairs. The reason I started to watch as a child was my mum had it on and I got into and the different types of characters. My favourite actor is Anthony Cotton (Sean Tully), he is so funny and always in the mix of all the gossip (like me). EastEnders
I love watching EastEnders as the theme is based around the community, making everyone feel like they are part of the family and then pull together in time of trouble. They also deal with currents affairs and I love the way that the program always end with some form of cliff-hanger on a Friday to keep you guessing what going to happen next. My favourite actor is June Brown (Dot Branning) due to the fact that nothing happens on the square that Dot doesn’t not know about.

Blue Bloods
I started to watch Blue Bloods with my husband as it is a program that we could watch together and I enjoy watching police dramas. I love the way the series follows the family of police officers within the New York City Police Department and how the whole family deals with crime and their own personal problems. My favourite actor has to be Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Regan), I love the way that he sometimes he does not go by the book.

Britain’s got talent
I love to watch a good talent competition, and BGT has a different range of acts from dancing dogs to dance groups. I love the way that contestants must perform in front of the judges and also a live audience. The way the program shows that there are some talented people out there from all walks of life makes you feel good. It’s good to see how the contestants grow throughout the program. My favourite winning act are Diversity who are a British street dance troupe. The reason I like them is because they are a group that worked so hard to get on the show and improved so much throughout the duration.

Boardwalk Empire
I started to watch Boardwalk Empire with my husband as he likes this type of show. It’s a period drama set in the prohibition period in Atlantic City. I like the way that the drama is based on one political figure who controls the city and the way he has a lavish lifestyle in the time of a prohibition period. My favourite actor is Steve Buscemi (Nucky Thompson) because I like the way he deals with people from all walks of life, ranging from mobsters to the common folk who look up to him.
