Maybe it’s just because I’m a supporter of Android, but I find the spectacle being made of Apple’s lawsuits against Samsung to be bothersome.
It’s not like Apple has really suffered because smartphones, in general, have continued to dominate the market. Apple has only, you know, produced nearly 6 different iPhones since 2007, all of which have taken the world by storm.
It doesn’t matter that even though there are competitors in the forms of Androids, which come in versions manufactured by Samsung and others, that they still haven’t overthrown the Apple Empire. Let’s be real, they probably never will, thanks to Apple’s clever marketing for as long as I can remember, and the leadership from Steve Jobs that made the company unforgettable.
No, instead let’s focus on something negative. Let’s focus on how something that, yes, Apple did patent, like the zoom to focus features, that have somehow, and yet, so fittingly, made our lives tremendously easy since their revelation.
Let’s focus how on this great achievement for humanity, can cause world war three. How it’s just another instance where it all comes down to money. That we can’t have nice things (literally) and we have to play a game of thrones over everything.
Like I said, maybe I’m biased because I really do like Android, but I stand by what I’ve written. Apple’s lawsuits against 8 Samsung devices are an insult, really. To the progress of modern, 21st Century technology, as much as to the people who love what 3G has done for us in the last 3, 5, and 10 years.
