I love listening to different types of music ranging from the likes of pop to soul. I like listening to music on the bus and the train as it makes my journey to and from work more bearable. My favourite artist though is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. So I decided to pick my favourite five Michael Jackson songs and share them with you in my latest ‘favourite five’:
Beat It – Released February 3, 1983
Beat it is the third single from Michael Jackson’s sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). The main reason why I love this song is as a young teenager I remember dancing around my bedroom with a hairbrush singing and dancing to all the words. I also love the music video for this song as it helped him to become an international pop icon.
Smooth Criminal – Released October 21, 1988
Smooth criminal is the seventh single from Michael Jackson’s 1987 Bad Album , I love this song and music video as it is a fast-paced beat and makes me always want to get up and dance on the dance floor. I can’t believe that it only made it to 3rd in the uk single chart in 1988.
Billie Jean – Released January 2, 1983
Billie Jean is the second single from Michael Jackson sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). The main reason I love this song as it from an album from the year that I was born. I love listening to music from the 80’s. It was one of the best-selling singles from 1983.
Bad – Released September 7, 1987
Bad is the Second single from Jackson’s seventh studio album with the same name. I love this song is it base around the streets and I always try to copy the dance moves in front of the mirror.
Black or White – Released November 11, 1991
Black or White is the first single from Jackson’s eighth studio album, Dangerous, and made it to number 1 in the UK singles chart in 1991. I love the first few minutes of the video because it has Macaulay Culkin dancing around his bedroom to rock music before he get told off and made to go to bed. I always used to have my music on far too loud as a teen.
