I might have mentioned it on here before about how much I love the colour purple… no? Well I absolutely love it. The colour makes e feel warm and happy. I don’t have too much of it in my wardrobe but it’s there in my jewellery and also around my home. But could I really have a purple room? Would that be too much?
Surely not. But there are so many choices in picking a colour because it’s easy to say “I want purple” but do I want dark or light, do I want a pattern, do I want a statement wall… I love statement walls but I’m not a very statement type person so this was going to take some research.

So many choices. I should also point out that I am thinking of a purple dining room, I quite like my neutral lounge and it always feels comfy to rest and watch TV or curl up with a book. Whereas I fancy my dining room to take on a bit of glamour for entertaining, even on the nights where it’s just me and my dinner for one. I think I’m taken more by the darker wallcoverings the more research that I have looked into. I still really like the idea of a statement wall and I absolutely love the bottom left wallcover on the image above. That’s just the sort of thing I was looking for, it’s still quite bold and for me that is a big thing. This is quite a big move for me even though to some it will seem a small decision. I found the site wallcover.com was immensely helpful with my research. I simply typed in purple and I was away, there is a load of choice on there and so many ideas keep springing into my mind.
Perhaps after this project I’ll start on another room. Maybe orange for the kitchen…
The possibilities are endless.
