The Strictly Come Dancing hosting rumour mill has been spinning for months, and today the BBC finally put us all out of our misery. The new presenting lineup has been confirmed — and it’s a trio rather than a duo, which is a first for the show.
Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe have been announced as the new hosts of Strictly Come Dancing, replacing long-time presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who took their final bows on the show in December.
Three hosts is a bold move — but on paper, the chemistry between these three feels genuinely promising.

Announcing the new lineup, the BBC said the trio “will preside over the Strictly ballroom in spectacular style this autumn in an exciting new era for the BBC’s glittering hit entertainment show.”
BBC Chief Content Officer Kate Phillips said: “Emma, Johannes, and Josh’s chemistry is undeniable. There’s been so much speculation and hype, so I’m relieved we can share the news with the public at last.” She added that the decision was a tough one, thanking everyone seen before making the final call.

And Josh Widdicombe, who already has previous Strictly history, had perhaps the most entertaining response. He said: “Dancing the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas Special of Strictly remains my career high point, so I am giddy with excitement, honoured and a little overawed to be given the chance to step into the biggest shoes in television. I’ll dust off the penguin costume.”
