The UEFA Champions League returns to Amazon Prime Video with a heavyweight clash under the lights, as Manchester United travel to the Spanish capital to face Atlético Madrid at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Following previous prime-time drama across Europe, this Matchday 2 fixture promises an electric tactical battle between two storied clubs.
Form Guide: How They Shape Up 📈
- Atlético Madrid: Diego Simeone’s side head into this European test carrying solid domestic momentum. Highlighted by a fiery Madrid derby victory over Real Madrid and a hard-fought 2-1 away win against Deportivo Alavés where Cristian Romero and Alejandro Grimaldo found the net, Atleti have shown both defensive steel and sharp attacking fluency. They are keen to bounce back on the continental stage after a narrow opening-week defeat to Liverpool.
- Manchester United: The Red Devils make the trip to Madrid looking to establish consistency. Michael Carrick’s side opened their European campaign in style with a 4-0 thrashing of Sabah FK, and they recently showed great resilience in a 1-1 Premier League draw against Tottenham Hotspur, powered by a goal from Bryan Mbeumo. United will be aiming to harness that grit to tame a hostile Metropolitano atmosphere.
