Product Review – Magic Magnetic Balls Cube Puzzle

puzzle

When I was asked by our delightful editor Sarah to review a potential Christmas gift from paramountzone.com I thought, ‘Why not?’. I mean I love Christmas, I love gifts and I love puzzles so what could go wrong? Then I received the Magic Magnetic Balls Cube Puzzle through the post and it became obvious what I’d let myself in for, hours of endless stress relieving fun!

What is a Magic Magnetic Balls Cube Puzzle?

The Magic Magnetic Balls Cube Puzzle is a fantastic alternative to the ordinary stress ball or stress relieving toy. Its made up of 216 tiny silver balls that are all magnetised so they bond together in an endless number of ways. With a bit of patience you can mould all sorts of shapes, from perfect cubes to cylinders, from pyramids to love-hearts.

What I like about the Magnetic Puzzle

It really is a tremendously effective stress relief toy which can be used when watching TV, reading, listening to music or with your undivided attention. Apart from trying to shape it into various different shapes, you can also just squish it in your hands. The magnets are surprisingly strong so the chances of losing one of the tiny balls are slim to none.

What I dislike about the product

If you have any kind of compulsive tendencies this may not be the toy for you, as I often found I’d wasted 30-60 minutes trying to form the balls into a certain shape only for them to mess up right at the end. The magnetism of the balls can be just as frustrating as they are stress-reliving, which kind of defeats the point.

Overall

I would definitely recommend this product, and for only £11.99 from paramountzone.com it is worth the money. Despite my compulsive failings I found the toy very enjoyable and often found myself fiddling with it for hours whilst watching football or a film. It’s a great little stocking filler or present for a friend and well worth a try.
