Who is the last celebrity you’d invite? Anyone from The Only Way Is Essex – really don’t like that programme!
If you could have any TV box set, what programme would it be? The Wire, The Sopranos or The West Wing as I haven’t seen them!
What was the last item of clothing you bought? A wooly hat, yes it was that long ago!
Any nicknames and why? I get the whole being called Rach thing and one of my old college friends used to call me Rachiola, which hasn’t really stuck. As a family we’re known as the Simmos.

What’s your signature dish if cooking? If I’m cooking a main then it’s my variation on a stroganoff, if it’s a dessert then I make brilliant chocolate brownies.
Who is your role model and why? I look up to my Mum as she’s always worked hard in any of her jobs and shown commitment to where she’s working – she’s been there about 20 years and done most of the admin jobs in the place! She’s also a great mum, well I would say that, she’s very open and I can talk to her about pretty much anything.
What do you do to relax? Watch rugby and cricket – both live and on TV, mess around online and I’ve always got a couple of books on the go.
If money was no object and you could buy one thing, what would it be and why? One way flights to Sydney in first class. I really want to move out there permanently so why not in style?
What do you enjoy most about writing? I like the freedom to write about anything and the fact that people say that I’m quite good at it! My only struggle with writing is that I’m really not confident in myself, I’ll write something and then not publish it as I’m too afraid to.
An interesting fact about yourself: I’m a Cub Scout Leader and I LOVE doing it/I’ve been to Buckingham Palace three times and not just outside the gates!/I have a phobia of butterflies
