It’s the news that many comic book fans have been longing/dreading.
The sequel to X-Men Origins – Wolverine will be in cinemas July 23rd 2013 and will be known as simply Wolverine 2 instead of the original title of The Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman will still take on the role of everyone’s favorite bad-tempered, cigar smoking, bike riding, adamantium filled mutant with Knight and Day director Gavin Mangold confirmed to be taking charge. Filming is yet to start but it is believed they are trying to get it set up asap.
Let’s face it though with the upcoming Avengers movie, The Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3 on the horizon who really cares at this point?
According to rumors we may also see an appearance from Spiderman in The Avengers movie after comments made by actress Jenny Agutter in a recent interview. This was thought to be impossible due to legal issues as 20th Century Fox apparently own the movie rights to the X-Men, Spiderman and Blade characters while Marvel Studios have The Avengers cast and their individual movies.
