Reducing job stress is something that most of us would like to do but simply don’t know how. It’s often a simply matter of just working smarter instead of harder. For instance, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by a large task that is looming over you. A good way to handle this is to break the task up into several smaller segments and tackle those segments one at a time.
Another way to work smarter is to simply be smarter. Keeping your mind actively engaged is a way to increase your mental activity. Challenging reading material and the daily crossword puzzle are both opportunities to sharpen mental clarity. Making a habit of getting a good night’s sleep doesn’t hurt, either.
Incorporating some physical activity into your work day can do a lot to alleviate stress, particular for those who have jobs which keeps them tied to a desk. Try taking the long way back to your desk from the water cooler and clear your mind while you get your blood flowing.
