I love designers just as much as the next fashionista; but sometimes you just can’t hand over £500 for those Louboutins you’ve been aching for because as fabulous as they are they’re not gonna make you happy when you’re living in a cardboard box because you didn’t pay the mortgage.
I will admit to splurging on unnecessary designer items *cough* Alexander McQueen silk scarf *cough* but sometimes I’ll be able to spend a little amount of money in Primark and come out with something gorgeous. Plus there has been many a Saturday night where I’ve left the Jimmy Choos at home and pranced into a nightclub in my favourite pair of Converse.
So even though most of the time I may force encourage you to splurge, know that most of my clothes are bargain finds and that you can find great things for pennies if you just know where to look.
So in a new not so regular series (some of these finds were wicked hard to find) I’m gonna show you how to get the designer look for less; I’m sure your better halves will love me now.
First up, SHOOOOOES!
You could buy these Metallic Lurex Caroline Ballet Flats by Tory Burch for about £150 or you get these pretty cream ballerina flats which have the same style and look for £25 from River Island.
Gold watches are all the rage now, and even though I don’t wear really watches I’d sell my soul for a Michael Kors one. They look fab with lots of arm candy. But sadly if I did splurge on a Michael Kors one, I’d be served with divorce papers and a cardboard box.
So if you do don’t want to end up being my room mate in my box, you could buy this Paul’s Boutique watch for £55 instead of the £200 MK one. I’m sorry Michael I still worship you but I love my big warm bed more.
Ooooh I do love a big handbag that can carry everything plus the kitchen sink, but I’d probably be committed if I spent thousands and thousands and thousands on an Hermes Birkin Bag, but I was quite happy to find that good ol’ ASOS have these practically identical bags for less than £50!
Now is that a bargain or what?!
Happy shopping my lovelies.
