Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club of Brands (infographic)

Walt Disney and his brother Roy, started Disney Brother Cartoon Studio in the 1920s, and now the empire has expanded to the largest media conglomerate in the world by revenue. That’s some large growth in less than 100 years. While it is doubtful that Walt Disney knew how expansive his empire would become, he seemed to never lose track of where he came from. He once said, “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.”

Just a few of the larger Disney acquisitions include Lucas Films, ABC, ESPN, Pixar, and Marvel. Because of the numerous acquisitions, the Disney empire now has the consumer’s attention from birth to late adulthood in the form of one brand or another.
