Another app in our new series.
This week we are finding out about the Homey app from Sanja Zepan.
Our vision is to enable families to have a mess free home without constant fighting about who has to do what and who never cleans anything.
We are making an app for families, that are dissatisfied with using paper charts and sticky notes on their fridge for organizing and assigning chores and tracking their progress.
Homey is a mobile app for convenient management of household chores that organizes tasks by taking pictures of the mess and assigning the work to individual family members.
Unlike inconvenient paper based chore-charts and do it yourself organizers that demand a lot of effort to manage, communicate and enforce tasks, Homey reaches family members instantly, empowers them with how-to tips and motivates them with gamification based rewards.
I think Homey falls into the productivity category, but as we’re working on gamifying it, it should soon become a game. We’re working closely with 100 families, that are beta testing Homey, to really nail the gamification, so that it provides the best motivation for the whole family. Because unlike our competition, Homey wants to gamify chores for everyone and not just for the kids. The gamification is coming out in two months.
You can find out more on their website. They are looking for beta testers for their apps!
