How to Use CBD Oil for Allergies and Asthma

Asthma is something that can occur throughout the year, but seasonal allergies can cause a big flare up of this condition. CBD oil for allergies and even asthma symptoms can make you feel better sooner.

The spring and summer months are extremely appreciated when they finally arrive in many parts of the U.S. However, along with this warmer weather comes the increase in a variety of pollens. These pollens can come from flowers, trees, grasses and weeds. In certain areas, multiple pollens can increase at the same time. For people with severe seasonal allergies, these issues can cause a whole host of unpleasant symptoms. The most common allergy symptoms include:

-Runny nose
-Itchy nose
-Itchy eyes
-Sneezing
-Scratchy throat
-Fatigue
-Cough
-Increase in asthma attacks

There are plenty of prescription and over-the-counter medications which reduce a histamine response in the body. However, these medications often make you feel very tired, they can cause brain fog and they can be very expensive. There are more natural options. They tend to be much safer than the chemical variety of treatment. For example, CBD is a very safe and effective treatment for allergies. With just a small dose of CBD oil for allergies and asthma symptoms, you can be feeling like yourself again with no obvious side effects.

Asthma is something that can occur throughout the year, but seasonal allergies can cause a big flare up of this condition. When histamine levels in the body start to rise, the airways can become quite inflamed. Spasms can also occur in the bronchial passageways, results in difficulty breathing. There are rescue inhalers that work wonderfully to relieve these unwanted symptoms, however people don’t like the side effects of these inhalers.

Many people experience an increase in blood pressure of heart rate upon using them. Palpitations and anxiety are not uncommon as well. There are CBD asthma inhaler products that you can use as an alternative. Of course, it’s important to use your prescription inhaler if you feel this is an emergency. You can use natural products to try and prevent a much larger and severe problem.

Blocking and Preventing Histamines

When your body comes into contact with something that is a foreign and potentially threatening substance, your body will release histamines in order to combat that foreign substance. When your histamine levels rise, this is what causes those nasty allergy symptoms. If you can find a way to block that histamine response naturally, then you’ll be better off during those dreaded spring months when the pollen levels are high.

CBD potentially has the ability to block histamines in the body. Just like an antihistamine that you would take orally, CBD will work to keep your reaction down. CBD is also an anti-inflammatory. You can use CBD oil to decrease inflammation in your nasal passageways, decrease inflammation in your lungs and reduce inflammation in those narrowing bronchial passages. This is a completely steroid-free method of treatment.

Using a CBD Tincture for Allergic Rashes and Eczema

CBD comes in a variety of oral-administered products. You can also find surface-administered products that are to be applied directly to the skin. If you experience a flare up of skin rashes or eczema when you come into contact with local pollens, you can use a CBD oil for allergies to provide relief.

These products are completely safe, and they can quickly get rid of unwanted skin issues you get when your histamine levels go up. Just be sure to do a spot test prior to using a certain product all over your body if topical administration is what you’re going to try. People with sensitive skin tend to be sensitive to natural products that are in many topical ointments and salves.

It is important to keep in mind, CBD will not cure you of your allergies. Your body has a condition that is causing histamines to form when you come into contact with certain outdoor (or indoor) allergens. Make sure that you speak with your doctor before you take yourself off of any ongoing medication therapies that you are using. You also want to make sure that you have your emergency medication and inhalers filled in case you need them.
