A physiotherapy business has reached a huge business milestone.
The team at Physio-Logical is celebrating the business reaching an impressive 15 years in business.
Founder and clinical director Natalie March first started the business from her one-bedroom house in Basingstoke, seeing clients on a couch in her living room.
She initially worked within the NHS but decided to set up her own business to provide a more hands-on approach to patients and get them back to 100 per cent health.
She took her first member of staff on after having her children and wanting to spend more time with them.
Now the business is based out of offices in the grounds at Stansted Park and Natalie employs a team of five.
She has not only grown the business significantly over the last 15 years, but has also had many personal milestones, such as having her two children – Henry, 9 and Phoebe, 7 – and moving to Waterlooville.
One of Natalie’s most proud moments since starting the business was taking part in the 2012 Olympics, treating the windsurfing and sailing Olympians in Weymouth.
She also spent a short while doing corporate physiotherapy at Vodafone headquarters.
Natalie said about her achievements: ‘The last 15 years has gone by so quick, but looking back and what we’ve achieved it’s a great feeling. The most rewarding thing is knowing that you’re not just getting people to a manageable point in their health, but you’re getting them back to 100 per cent. Whether it’s helping them to run a marathon or just allowing them to run around with and pick up their grandkids, it’s so rewarding.
‘On a personal level, thanks to my amazing team I’m still able to spend time with my kids, drop them off and pick them up from school every day and keep that work life balance. That’s really important to me and I wouldn’t have that if I didn’t make the decision to set up 15 years ago.’
Over the years Natalie, with the help of the team and her family, has raised thousands of pounds for various charities including Rowans Hospice, Macmillan and Cancer Research.
The total amount raised for charity, which was achieved through different running and sporting challenges among other things, is around £10,000.
The business has made the finals of several awards, including Employer of the Year in the Venus Woman Awards in 2018 and Community Business of the Year in the FSB awards in 2020.
The team have treated and helped more than 8,000 patients and have received more than 150 Google reviews.
Natalie is taking part in the University of Portsmouth’s Get Set for Growth course and her plans for growing the business include taking on more staff.
