Everyone is talking about the UK’s green transition, but data shows it isn’t households driving it; it’s businesses.
Hippo Leasing has analysed new DVLA registration data across all 364 UK local authorities and mapped out the top places in the UK where EV uptake has been the highest.

The standout takeaway? Over half (50.6%) of Britain’s 2.84 million EVs are company-owned. Corporate fleets are essentially keeping the EV market afloat right now. In fact, our own first-party data shows business lease completions jumped nearly 20% in a single year.
