Autumn/Winter Fashion

With Autumn here and Winter just around the corner perhaps your wardrobe needs a bit of updating?

Sexy, classy, classic and a touch of masculinity are what to look out for when buying clothes for Autumn and Winter. Look out for strong silhouettes, statement jackets and luxurious accessories.

Show off your waist; whether on a belted coat, a curvy dress or a fabulous pencil skirt, the emphasis this season and next is definitely on the waist. Also store all the floaty floral girly dress away until next summer; dresses should be sexy and edgy and well fitted, but not skin-tight, you do want to be comfortable. Keep hem lines on skirts or dresses mid knee to well below the knee.

Colours should be classic colours such as brown, black, taupe, white and all shades of grey, as well as dark rich blues. If you want to add some bright colours into your wardrobe just do it with accessories and opt for pastels instead of the neons of summer; soft blush pink and silvery soft blues ooze femininity. If you love wearing black you’ll find a lot of great pieces out there now. You can even use some great black pieces that you have already, trying incorporating greys, white and lots of shades of dark blue for an updated and in style look.

Here are a few of my top picks for Autumn and Winter, all can be mixed and matched with any basics that you already have for a statement look.
