If music be the food of love, play on….
Music is one of those things that reflects your feelings, moods and the moment. Whether you are at work, out at a bar or club, at home working or chilling, even exercising, we all have a soundtrack we choose to listen to. Tastes in music also change and develop with us. This is a good thing, you can enjoy and remember the memories evoked by the tunes you listened to and you can create new memories as you start to enjoy a new genre…. Life would be dull if we stood still, thus as music evolves so do we. A duo that have been going a long time, but are new to me are Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart

A combination that gets my seal of approval…… When it comes to music and especially the blues, these pair separately and together have it all. 😀
Joe Bonamassa plays the blues (plus Rock and Soul) and in a band formation played with, amongst others, the son of John Bonham (drummer Led Zeppelin) Together there is a distinct Led Zeppelin groove brought right up to date.
Beth Harts voice is reticent of Janis Joplin, she has a gutsy blues voice that is both amazing and awe-inspiring….Her influences include rock, blues, gospel, jazz and classical. Described as a storyteller…..
Damn that girl can tell me stories all night long 🙂
Put the two together and BAM….. A dynamic introduction to the Blues players of today.
Both American, both emerged out of shadows that was the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Joe a guitarist and Beth a pianist, together they still got the blues.
They worked together on a track for his Album “Dust Bowl” (march 2011) and worked together on an entire album of blues classics together, entitled “Don’t Explain” (sept 2011)
