Meet the Wafflers: Our happy snapper, Natalie

Since the new year, dailywaffle.co.uk has brought you a series of 60 second interviews with our writers. In the last of the series, we focus on our long time reader, short time writer, our amateur photographer, Natalie (@TheWife82)

What / Who inspired you to write?

My husband is the one who inspired me to write, because he gave me the confidence and courage to write about things that interest me. From as long as I remember I never been able to express myself clearly and blogging has helped me to do this. Since I wrote my first post I have really got the bug and hope to contribute a lot more in the future.

What topics do you most enjoy writing about and why?

I enjoy writing about family life and photography because they both important to me for different reasons. I have recently taken up photography and I like to share what I have learnt and hopefully it will help others to develop their own skills. Family life because I have a three-year old daughter and she has taught me that every day is a learning curve. I like to share my views and ideas with others as I found that when I was pregnant, the advice and tips I found online were invaluable.

Name 3 of your favourite blogs to read

I know its corny but I read the Daily Waffle everyday. It started because my husband is the editor but I found I really enjoy the vast array of articles on here, and always pick up a tip or two from the bloggers. Other than that I don’t specifically follow any other blogs, although I find Tumblr and Flickr are where I spend most of my time, looking at other people’s photographs and getting ideas for shots.

Give me one fact about yourself

In my younger days I garnered a reputation for stalking Ryan Giggs, my second love (and top of my list of alternates). Obviously I wasn’t actually stalking him, it was just a series of massive coincidences that I kept bumping into him…..

What is the most blatant lie you have ever told?

I was once seeing a lad and our relationship had run its course, so I told him that I was just going to my friends for a few hours and left him in my flat for three days, hoping he would have left when I got back. Guess what, when I got back he was still there. Awkward!
