The popular London based sports club GoMammoth which thousands of Londoner’s enjoy playing at in the capital every week has announced its going to be opening new netball leagues centre’s in Brighton, Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff – exporting the popular social sports league format outside the M25 for the first time.
For anyone not familiar with GoMammoth – the club organises a range of participation sports leagues for everything from 5 a side football and Netball to the more unusual sports like Touch Rugby, Dodgeball and Ultimate Frisbee!
Until now the leagues have only been available to Londoner’s with sports centres in places like Clapham, Whitechapel and Wandsworth. However the companies managing director Luke Mohr tell’s the Daily Waffle that new centre’s will be coming to the rest of the UK in due course with the first netball leagues opening in Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham before the end of the year.
Unlike most sports leagues GoMammoth focus on making their sports as fun and social as possible, encouraging socialising between teams with regular socials and nights out. Most of the sports leagues have a mixed (boys and girls) option and there’s different levels of play for those who just want a bit of fun, to those looking for a more serious game.
The club is most popular with young professionals in London who enjoy being active while meeting new people or bonding with their work colleagues outside the office.
The new GoMammoth netball leagues also represent a surge in popularity of the game of netball in recent years. As Mohr went on to say – “of all the sports we offer at GoMammoth London our netball leagues have been the most popular, the games had some high profile publicity in recent months and we’ve seen great demand for our netball leagues as a result. We’re sure the same will be true at our new venues outside of London.”
