Photographers would be directionless without something to snap; this is the lifeline of their careers. Paparazzi seem to find much joy in keeping us up to date with photos of the Hollywood scene, and the more professional scenery photographers are seeking the best new natural happenings to show the world that may have missed seeing it themselves. Today we’ll focus on the five best places in the world where you can snap a sunset better than anywhere else. Yes, including your backyard.
Sentosa Island, Singapore
This smaller area of the beautiful Singapore countryside is perhaps one of the best all-around areas to find a sunset to capture in photograph. Standing anywhere on this island, whether it’s on the Tanjong Golf Course or in a chair staring at the Singapore Strait, you’ll find excellent use for your Nikon or Canon here.
Polihale Beach, Hawaii
Hanging out on the western part of Kauai Island is a little hidden treasure called Polihale Beach, a part of the state park with the same name. Here you will find safe areas to take a swim, some fantastic snorkeling opportunities, and a breath-taking sunset that cannot be put into words. Be certain to have an excellent lens and plenty of memory or film; the sunset beams off the water in the distance making this idealistic for photographers and romantics alike.
Great Pyramids of Giza
Sure, you may never have the opportunity to visit there in your lifetime, yet the ageless pyramids that are located near the third largest Egyptian city happens to not only warehouse tons of history, but boasts a sunset that makes many scenic photographers salivate. Getting as close to the pyramids as possible at the beginning of dusk will set off the best sunset God could possibly ever show us. A must-see location near the Nile River, slightly south of Cairo.
Santorini Island, Greece
You’ll find more than ancient Olympians and excellent dining in this country; a little hidden secret exists on the southern part of the Aegean Sea named Santorini Island, a little-known haven for photographers to capture some of the world’s more breath-taking and surreal sunsets. Otherwise called ‘Thira’ Island by the Grecians, this area is not only a tourist attraction with much history, but when the sun starts to hide in the horizon, it becomes the spot where any scenery photographer can expect to capture awesome sunsets no matter what part of the island you are on.
Grand Canyon, Arizona
Perhaps one of the more obvious spots for American photographers to migrate, the Grand Canyon has a vast expanse for millions of annual tourists to enjoy, along with excellent sunsets that seem to depict a sky on fire. If you are into photographing sunsets on your American soil, you should definitely make it a point to snap footage from the Grand Canyon and capture memorable, romantic sunsets that you’ll definitely be glad you found and snapped. The location to be at really doesn’t matter as anywhere near the Canyon is an ideal spot.
