So you fell in love and you want to cement that love into a lasting marriage but you do not know where to pop the big question! While it’s not easy to figure out where to go there is an awful lot of advice about where the good spots are. What you might want to brace yourself for is the idea of paying a bit more than you might have expected. The truth is the prime destinations are all over the world and unless you live in Paris or Venice I doubt you are where you need to be for the most part. So get your finances in order and start doing some real planning after reading through my top five destinations for a romantic proposal.
1. Paris
You can call it cliché but the fact remains that Paris is a stunningly beautiful city with food, art, and fashion that any woman would die for. Not only is Paris romantic for its landmarks such as the Eifel Tower or the Louvre but it’s also well known for its beautiful Seine River, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Pont des Arts Bridge. While it may take some frugal spending for many to afford such a vacation you can consider it well worth it when it comes to marrying the woman of your dreams.
2. Venice
Venice is a wondrous location with unique city streets and even more unique street performers and festivals. Its waterways mark a drastic departure from the hustle and bustle of our typical city streets and they allow us to relax more than we might think possible. Venice has been wowing people both in person and in movies and television for years and it won’t be stopping anytime soon. I feel the reasons I am putting this on my list are dead obvious and any woman would love being proposed to in Venice.
3. New York City
Does this city even need an explanation for most of us? It’s a city full of exciting new adventures at every turn and every hour. It’s a city where most stores stay open well past what would be considered acceptable in other cities. This city is full of beautiful art, scenic skylines, impressive restaurants and events that can be found nowhere else. It is safe to say that you will be able to find a place to propose suited for any woman in a city as cultured and massive as New York City.
4. Rome
Rome is a city full of historic architecture that can hardly be rivaled by any other city in the world. Impressive classical buildings are at every corner of this large city and they fit well with its cobble stone streets and rustic romantic vibe. All in all those who go to Rome hardly end up unsatisfied even when going alone. Taking the one you love to Rome and walking down a well-lit cobble stone alley way after a beautiful dinner and sitting her down by the Trevi Fountain for a proposal is a surefire way to get a yes.
5. Kyoto
Kyoto is a city in Japan known for its calming and simple architecture, numerous shrines, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. This city has a rich history stretching back centuries and it can be seen in many of the festivals celebrated in the city.
