More than 3,500 tourists enter London every hour, equivalent to 60 every minute. It’s possible those tourists will account for the single visitor to the British Museum entering each minute, or form a large proportion of those travelling on the 3,472 Tube journeys running every 60 seconds.
On Instagram, 36 new photos of London pop up every minute, equivalent to over 2,000 an hour and more than 50,000 every single day. Twitter is less active, with just nine tweets every minute about London, equivalent to almost 13,000 daily tweets. Compare this to readers of the London Evening Standard – 1,263 copies of the LES are read every minute.
