In light of reports of UK banning disposable vapes from June, Pascal Culverhouse, on behalf of Electric Tobacconist, has issued expert advice on alternatives for those looking to move away from disposable vapes.
“Nicotine vaping is substantially less harmful than smoking. It’s also one of the most effective tools for quitting smoking, but with government plans to ban the sale of disposable vapes announced today, reports suggest that retailers will have up to June 2025 to sell their remaining stock.
“Vaping is not completely harmless and is only recommended to adult smokers looking for an effective way to stop smoking. For consumers looking to move away from disposable vapes without returning to smoking however, a variety of options will still remain available such as rechargeable vapes, nicotine pouches and heated tobacco.
“Unlike disposable vapes, nicotine pouches are small sachets that can be placed under the upper lip and offer a discrete hit of the stimulant. Known for being free of tobacco, smoke and odour, nicotine pouches are an appropriate alternative for those not wanting to be associated with the social stigma and health risks that smoking may bring.
“Alternatively, heated tobacco is also an option to consider when moving away from disposable vaping options. Heated tobacco has recently caused a shift in the world of smoking/vaping and produce fewer harmful chemicals than regular cigarettes. Now sold in over 49 countries and with recognition from the World Health Organisation, it’s the best time to switch for those wanting to enjoy a less damaging way to enjoy tobacco.”
