Post lockdown, we’ve been getting back on the road again and enjoying being allowed to visit friends and family. With more freedom to travel the UK, road trips are firmly back on the agenda. Whilst some drivers enjoy encountering unknown roads and terrain, for others, this can be a more daunting prospect.
A new survey by PassMeFast reveals that only half (50%) of Brits feel confident in their driving ability and a quarter (26%) believe that their star sign directly impacts their overall driving behaviour once they get behind the wheel.
To uncover if our Zodiac sign can really determine how we drive, PassMeFast consulted with expert Astrologer Gemma Harwood to reveal the core personality strengths of each and how these contribute to our driving strengths and weakness.
Zodiac Sign Driving Profiles
Aries
Main Traits: Keen, Courageous, Independent
Driving Strengths: Eager and brave enough to give everything a go. Being independently driven, they don’t need much encouragement in learning to drive.
Driving Weaknesses: This Fire sign is a little impatient behind the wheel at times, so they won’t like waiting in traffic queues.
When Learning: Remaining centred and holding their attentiveness to detail will help an Aries to excel.
Taurus
Main Traits: Determined, Patient, Assured
Driving Strengths: This determined star sign will simply keep going, even when facing fear. As one of the most patient signs, they’ll do great at traffic lights and timing their roundabout entrances.
Driving Weaknesses: A fan of comfort zones, they will struggle to adapt to new roads and environments out of the norm.
When Learning: Likely to do things at their own pace but practising fast response times to hazards will equal success.
Gemini
Main Traits: Composed, Adaptable, Alert
Driving Strengths: With their adaptable nature too, they usually perform great under stressful conditions. They are mentally razor-sharp, so even spaghetti junctions will be a breeze.
Driving Weaknesses: Tend to want to ‘catch-up’, even when a lot of concentration and focus is required.
When Learning: Focussing on sequences of little routines such as mirrors and blind spots will enhance their skills.
Cancer
Main Traits: Cautious, Tenacious, Intuitive
Driving Strengths: Skillful at staying out of danger and spotting potential hazards early. Their caring nature means they excel at pedestrian crossings.
Driving Weaknesses: Cancerians can be slow to find their comfort zone while adapting to a new skill. They may also find long-distance driving especially tiring.
When Learning: Practising practical theory and the hazard perception test will keep them up to speed whilst learning.
Leo
Main Traits: Confident, Creative, Conscientious
Driving Strengths: The Leo star sign has confidence, enjoys a challenge, and will often jump willing into new driving situations and remain calm.
Driving Weaknesses: Tends to become a little impatient and may find traffic queues particularly draining.
When Learning: Giving extra focus to changing pace and gears smoothly will help a Leo advance.
Virgo
Main Traits: Responsible, Meticulous, Considerate
Driving Strengths: They can be so meticulous, that reversing in a straight line and around a corner are likely their natural strengths.
Driving Weaknesses: Tend to become a little stressed if they are unprepared, putting them in danger of panicking in hazardous situations.
When Learning: Virgos have all the little details covered, so taking them on the motorway or to unusual places to brush up on their skills can help.
Libra
Main Traits: Balanced, Competent, Accommodating
Driving Strengths: They are competent, accommodating and socially very alert, so they will be more than happy with busy locations like city centres.
Driving Weaknesses: May at times become a little indecisive when faced with many options and possible routes to take whilst driving.
When Learning: Librans will take on a balanced, yet analytical approach to most problems, so focussing on the theory of driving will help them enormously.
Scorpio
Main Traits: Prudent, Resilient, Disciplined
Driving Strengths: Their resilience and disciplined approach means they are both tough and intuitive in extreme conditions, so night-time driving and fast speeds will be their forte.
Driving Weaknesses: A Scorpio may become annoyed quite easily whilst driving. It’s best to avoid becoming involved with toxic drivers.
When Learning: Should build up patience for busy areas as this may feel outside of their comfort zone.
Sagittarius
Main Traits: Open, Optimistic, Adventurous
Driving Strengths: Driving out of town or along country roads will speak to their adventurous side.
Driving Weaknesses: Can be quite spontaneous and impulsive so a strong reaction to an inconsiderate driver might land them in hot water.
When Learning: To keep them engaged, find as many entertaining ways to learn to drive as possible.
Capricorn
Element: Earth
Main Traits: Deliberate, Vigilant, Serious
Driving Strengths: Capricorns will take on new tasks with plenty of deliberation, so they will be ready to respond quickly when needed. Their best performance is the emergency stop.
Driving Weaknesses: Capricorn’s serious nature can have them a little on edge at times, especially when driving somewhere dangerous.
Areas to Focus When Learning: Keep practising things they find most unnerving, such as starting on a steep incline or motorway driving.
Aquarius
Main Traits: Focussed, Methodical, Self-reliant
Driving Strengths: Their self-reliance and sturdy, droid-like quality means they can easily take on (and enjoy) some long-distance driving.
Driving Weaknesses: Once an Aquarius has read the manual and decided themselves on what’s the best way to approach a problem, it can prove to be almost impossible to show them another way.
When Learning: Take regular rests points so they don’t end up tired or overwhelmed.
Pisces
Main Traits: Eager, Responsive, Imaginative
Driving Strengths: Eager to try something new and excited for a fresh adventure, so you will find them happily responsive behind the wheel.
Driving Weaknesses: Pisceans are frequent dreamers and can be quite emotive, so they may tend to switch off and go to a different place in their minds when having a bad day.
When Learning: Remaining grounded and focussed is key, so frequently revising their road signs and the highway code will help a Pisces succeed.
Commenting on the findings, Jordan Copestake, Operations Manager at PassMeFast said: “Our latest research shows that the British public feels an affinity towards their star sign, and they may find its representative of their driving style once they get behind the wheel.
For learner drivers currently honing their driving skills ahead of a driving test, understanding their individual personality traits could help them to build confidence in mastering particular driving skills that they struggle with”.

This post made me giggle – I take issue with being referred to as droid-like, haha, although I do quite enjoy some long-distance driving!
Haha! I think long distance driving when it’s autumnal is great. So many pretty colours!
This is fun! But I’m afraid my star sign doesn’t relate to my style of driving at all haha.

Ha! Mine did a little andthen not so much, I think I’m probably more of a driver from seeing others drive etc.
I didn’t know that your zodiac signs were related to your driving style. How cool
Yeah, some have found it has related but others have not. It’s still quite fun to read I think. Thanks for reading 🙂
