Working together rather than in silo is vital to drive innovation and creativity, according to over three-quarters (76%) of UK workers, challenging the post-covid trend of working remotely.
The research, carried out by Spacemade, the UK’s fastest growing flexible workspace provider, looked into the state of the workplace in the country and how important in-person connections are to the success of our work.
The results showed that only 6% choose to work completely independently, with the overwhelming majority stating that in-person interactions at work improve productivity and output. These figures underscore the value of collaborative environments in fostering creative thinking and generating ideas.
When we get stuck at work, over half of us (51%) find discussing the issue in-person with a colleague the most effective way of tackling it – preferably with a cup of tea or coffee, which nearly two in 10 (38%) find helpful. One in 10 (10%) are even taking a short nap in the working day.
