Although known for her television roles, fans are keen to see Michelle Keegan as the next Bond girl in the franchise. The research found that articles on the topic of Keegan playing the role have received 27,920 engagements in the past two years. That’s almost three times more than the next contender, Margot Robbie.
Since her success with Barbie last year, Margot Robbie has been in a lot of online discussions about her next big role. In fact, the term ‘Margot Robbie Bond’ appeared in 186 in the last two years, the most of any actress in the list. However, the 9,328 article engagements bring her ranking down to second place.
Dune: Part 2 has been the fourth best-selling film at the box office this year, so Zendaya’s popularity online is not unexpected. However, the American actress takes the third spot for the internet’s favourite potential Bond girl. The phrase ‘Zendaya Bond’ appeared in 76 articles over the last two years, receiving 8,468 engagements.

Other actresses to feature include Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan and, bizarrely, Love Island presenter Maya Jama.

Henry Cavill, well-known for playing roles like Superman and the starring role in Netflix’s fantasy series The Witcher, is revealed to be the favourite to play 007 in the next James Bond film. Looking at the number of Google searches, the number of articles, article engagement and Reddit mentions, Cavill takes first place, followed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Idris Elba.
