Chris McCausland’s dance choice all but confirms Strictly victory

Chris McCausland has had his chances of Strictly victory boosted further following news that he is set to dance the Waltz in the final this weekend.

Research from SlotsCalendar has revealed that the Waltz has been responsible for the fewest eliminations of any dance since 2018, spelling the end of just one contestant in the past seven series inclusive.

JB Gill has seen his hopes all but ended as he will be dancing the Samba, which has led to a nearly a quarter (21.92%) of all eliminations in the same period.

Having earned a perfect 40 earlier in the series, Tasha Ghouri is dancing her American Smooth, which looks a safe choice, having led to just 5.48% of previous eliminations.

Sarah Hadland is another who is taking a risk, as she will dance the Cha-Cha-Cha, a dance that has caused over 10% of previous eliminations.

Spokesperson for SlotsCalendarViorel Stan, said: “Chris McCausland is the hot favourite to win this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing and his choice of dance in this weekend’s final has only strengthened his chances.

“McCausland will perform the Waltz with partner Dianne Buswell, which has been a favourable choice throughout the years, having led to just one of the past 73 eliminations.

“JB Gill – who is seen by many to be McCausland’s closest challenger – may have ended his hopes of victory by selecting the Samba as it is statistically the toughest dance, having been responsible for 21.92% of eliminations since 2018.

“Sarah Hadland is set for a tough test as she dances the Cha-Cha-Cha, responsible for 10.96% of eliminations, whilst Tasha Ghouri should have it easier with the American Smooth (5.48%).”
