With over 40 million digital nomads worldwide in 2024, it’s clear that more remote professionals are seeking destinations that combine work-life balance, reliable internet, and inspiring surroundings.
With this in mind, leading print-on-demand company Printful has identified the top global destinations offering remote workers the ideal blend of productivity, adventure, and sunshine. To determine these locations, they analyzed factors such as average salary, employment rates, and cost of living, considering expenses like rent, food, transport, and other daily costs. They also took into account monthly coworking hot desk rates, average temperatures, Wi-Fi speed, and the typical monthly cost of an Airbnb.
Bangkok is the best city for Digital Nomads to escape to the winter sun
Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, ranks as a top destination for digital nomads, offering a perfect blend of affordability and connectivity. The average cost of living is $876 per month, with coworking spaces available for a reasonable $201 per month. Bangkok boasts the region’s highest internet speed at 256.21 Mbps, providing a balanced and seamless lifestyle. The city’s warm climate of 82°F and Airbnb options costing around $1,561 per month also make it an ideal destination for remote workers.
Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, ranks second. It is one of the most affordable choices for digital nomads, with a cost of living of $770 per month and inexpensive coworking spaces at $139. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that internet speeds are slightly slower at 48.24 Mbps. Despite this, the city’s warm climate (81°F ) and budget-friendly Airbnb rates, averaging $1,323 per month, make it an attractive, low-cost option for remote workers.
Hanoi ranks third, with an impressively low cost of living at just $624 per month. With Southeast Asian countries making up 50% of the top 10, Hanoi is the most affordable choice. The city also has the cheapest coworking spaces at $102 monthly, and Airbnb rates are similarly affordable, averaging $1,241 monthly. Though internet speed is moderate at 94.15 Mbps, Hanoi’s mild climate (66°F ) and rich cultural scene make it a desirable choice for budget-conscious remote workers.

According to search demand, Jamaica is set to become a digital nomad hotspot by 2025, with a +250% year-on-year increase in remote work searches. With its year-round tropical climate and the new “Work From Jamaica” Visa program, which allows extended stays, Jamaica is a great destination for remote workers.
Barbados is also predicted to be popular with digital nomads in 2025, with remote working seeing a +200% increase in searches. The government has introduced a “Welcome Stamp” visa program, allowing remote workers and their families to stay for up to 12 months, making it easier for them to settle in and work.
The Philippines takes the final spot in the top three for the most in-demand digital nomad hotspots, featuring a remarkable +173% YoY increase in searches for remote work opportunities. With a low cost of living, multiple time zone advantages, and various visa options, the Philippines offers an ideal destination for nomads seeking both work and adventure.
