The Formula One race cars have been setting speed records for over 60 years with the fastest car brands in the world like Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Renault, and Ferrari. The race was created in 1946 with the name Fomula A, which was later changed to Formula One in 1950. Sponsors in the 2012 race will include Red Bull, NEC, General Electric, Claro, Randstand, and many more. As some of the fastest in circuit-racing, Formula One cars can get over 18,000 RPM allowing them to travel at blazing speeds on the track. The 2.4L V8 racing engine also has an extremely fast gear changing speed of .05 seconds with a tolerance of a few microns for precision handling in clutch situations.
The precision engineering and innovative technology used in the F1 race cars allow them to navigate the high-speeds of the track safely and efficiently. The season so far has been an exciting one.
