Now, research by GiftsOnline4U can reveal the most popular personalised presents in the UK – and alcoholic gifts top the list.

Research shows that we are most likely to receive personalised gifts on 18th and 21st birthdays, so it’s perhaps no surprise that Brits’ top choice of personalised prezzie are watch and a bottle of bubbly.
The analysis of over 13,600 gifts existing customers purchased from the online gift retailer, shows that the favourite gift to give is a watch. Whilst the traditional method of engraving the back of the watch is still the most popular way to deliver your message to a friend or loved one, many people now opt to personalise the watch face itself with a favourite photograph.
The second most popular gift is bubbles in a beautifully engraved wooden box or the bottle itself.
It’s not just champagne that we like to personalise – whisky is high up on the list of our favourite boozy gifts too. Whether your Dad likes a dram or your sister likes a snifter, engraved whisky glasses and bottles are growing in popularity, with bourbon Jack Daniels topping the list of favourites.
For lovers of the beautiful game, there is no end of personalised presents that you can find for the football fan in your life – but it seems that different clubs around the country have very different tastes:
- Liverpool, Rangers, Manchester United and Newcastle fans are all likely to opt for a personalised pint glass, whereas Chelsea and Arsenal fans are keener on a lager glass in a gift box.
