Monmouth Coffee, Borough
With its legendary in-house roasting team, on Saturdays people can be seen queuing down the road for a latte from one of the best coffee shops in London. Roasting daily from their three locations, the cafes act as retail units for home roasted beans, food and of course, coffees.
The coffee is sourced from around the world from various farms, estates and coffee co-operatives, making Monmouth one of the most respected brands in the city.
Flat White, Soho
Tucked away near Soho’s ‘red light’ road is the fantastic Flat White, famous for its (unsurprisingly) flat white coffees and teas. A stronger, antipodean coffee is claimed by those from down under as the king of coffees. Slightly stronger than regular coffee, this Auckland coffee favourite is making waves in London’s west end.

A bona-fide EC1 favourite has to be Caravan on Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell. Tagged as a jack of all trades restaurant, bar and café, the show stopper has to be its coffee.
Perched on the corner of the achingly hip Exmouth Market, Caravan is a fantastic place to sit, stop and enjoy watching the food stalls selling their wares and the hustle and bustle of the local people going about their business.
My personal favourite coffee from Caravan has to be its regular, straight up latte, but I can also vouch for its fantastic food menu if you are feeling peckish.
