A trip to Tahiti – a trip to Paradise on Earth

Remember returning to your parents’ house to pay them a visit over the weekends, quickly going back to the state of mind you were in while living with them and deciding to stay just a little bit longer? Being a carefree teenager or young adult is something special, and there’s no arguing that this was the period of life when you the most relaxed and free – before jobs, children, mortgages, rents and debts. And you certainly thought that nothing could rekindle this feeling and no place on Earth feels like home and has the same atmosphere. Yes, this may be true, but Tahiti is something closest to this carelessness and a location that will really make you forget all the troubles of the world.

Paradise Lost

The single largest island in its archipelago, Tahiti stands out from all the wonderful places in French Polynesia. This part of the world truly is blessed and enriched with enormous beauty of its beaches, the warm climate and weather that suits everyone, as well as the geographic location accessible from all continents. Its two parts form a unique combination of extravagance and peace which is accompanied with high mountains and coral reefs. If there is any place on the globe that must be singled out as something special, this may easily be the one. From lagoons to crystal beaches and from high-end hotels to archaeological sites like Marae Arahurahu and other parts of the island – there is something for everyone.

Paradise Found

But, how to choose what to do, not limiting yourselves to lying on a beach? In short, how to realize the full potential of this place? I recently visited Tahiti and may be able to unveil a secret or two.

In short, everything was top notch there: starting with the transportation and accommodation and ending with extracurricular activities I was offered. And these were what stood out the most and made my trip completely unforgettable. Don’t get me wrong – a hotel by the beach and a wide range of available menus were extraordinary, but all the outdoor activities made the difference. I went swimming, diving and snorkeling, and even managed to take a closer look at the corals and turtles; it’s true what they say about the sea – it can never be fully explored and you really have to see it for yourself. On the other hand, Tahiti offers more than just sea experience: I went hiking and climbed an inactive volcano up to more than a thousand meters! The view from up there… it’s just incredible and breathtaking. Between the sea and the mountain fun, there are activities like visiting the pineapple plantation, horse riding, motor races on quads with three or four wheels, cruising, getting massaged and many, many more.

Paradise Regained

The most important thing about Tahiti holidays is that the island not only offers a range of activities, but also, more importantly, completely changes your perspective of life and makes you more appreciative of nature, wilderness, sea culture and connection between all living things. There is no way to understand this in tall buildings, crammed office spaces, cubicles, on pavements and concrete. Therefore, I recommend Tahiti over almost any other place on Earth because it really enriches your life and alters view of the world, so you will always remember this unforgettable experience.
