I was given the opportunity to try something from the Quinessence Aromatherapy website, there was so much choice but I decided to go with an item I use every day as I would be able to assess it quicker and I felt I had more knowledge about it.
I had acne as a teen, horrible years believe me. I still have a few scars on my face from those day and particularly on my cheeks. They are easy to cover with make up but I had read about a year or so ago that rosehip oil helped. I bought a different rosehip oil pretty much straight away and it was almost £20. I know that will either sound a lot to some of you as aromatherapy oils are not cheap but there also might be some of you that are surprised, I have been using the oil for over a year and I had noticed a difference but my skin always felt really oily afterwards, yes I realise I have put oil on my face but it seemed to clog my skin more than make me feel good.
I started to mix a couple of tiny drops of the oil with my face cream and it was still oily but there was a difference. With the chance to try another rosehip oil and one that was cheaper, the most expensive one is for 250ml for £27.20. I had a 100ml bottle for nearly £20! This could be the start of a great relationship I thought!
The item arrived quickly but over packaged which they have said they will look into but it’s a real pet hate of mine. It had lots of those pretend wotsits in but that teeny bottle in such a big box. Taking out the wotsits for the photo really highlights this;
I expected a delivery in a jiffy bag, parcels this size you need to be in for or get one of those annoying ‘sorry we missed you’ red cards from the Royal Mail.
I have used the oil for several weeks now and I don’t use much every day and there is still loads left. I noticed that it didn’t feel as oily when I put it into my hands and it was quicker to absorb into my skin. I also didn’t get the greasy feeling afterwards and my skin seemed brighter in the mornings. Even on the cold mornings! Wowee
I am totally converted now and not just for price as I didn’t like my skin being ‘extra’ oily. Yes the packaging was a negative but I am sure the company will look into it for future deliveries. Plus the next time I think I’ll be needing a box, time for a spend!
Disclaimer – I was sent a product for a honest review. You should definitely check out Quinessence Aromatherapy!
