On Tuesday 5th of June it will be the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and you might have already started thinking about having a street party or just having family round to celebrate the day. You’re going to need cake. Ok it is one of the many things you will need for your occasion but it always is first on my list, I believe I have my priorities in the right order!
So here are some ideas to get your cake tables ready for the big day (click on the picture to go their website);
This might be a bit out of our doing but what a fantastic idea and raising money for charity aswell;
The Queen is going to have her own cake! German-born chef Gerhard Jenne from Konditor & Cook came up with the idea and the image will be made up of 3,120 individual cakes – one for every week of her reign – iced to create a pixellated composite portrait.
The final cake portrait, which will be displayed in London’s Battersea Park, will take three to four days to create – and once unveiled, the public will be invited to buy a piece of it, in exchange for a charity donation.
